Meet the Editor

Andreea S. Calude

I am a Romanian-born New Zealander, working at the University of Waikato, in Hamilton, New Zealand. My research projects generally involve detecting patterns of use in language. As a data linguist, I strive to understand how frequency drives change across languages, in grammar, and in language contact situations. I am continually fascinated by the link between language and social identity, and by the role that language plays in both, shaping and expressing it!
